Direct-Dialed Sample Rates

Long Distance Calling Rates
Within The Northern Service Area -

Lowest rates - dial direct one-minute rate
Dial-direct calls are those completed from and billed to a residence or business phone without Operator assistance. Dial-direct rates also apply on calls placed with an Operator from a residence or business phone where dial-direct facilities are not available.  On dial-direct calls, you pay only for the minutes you talk.  The initial rate period is one minute any time of day or night.

Rates and discount periods
Full weekday rates apply 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday through Friday.

Lower evening rates apply 5:00 P.M. to 11:00 P.M., Sunday through Friday.  The discount rates is 25% less than the full weekday rate.
 
Lowest night rates apply 11:00 P.M. to 8:00 A.M., weekdays and all day Saturday, Sundays until 5:00 P.M., and on the Holidays listed below.   The discount is 50% less than the full weekday rate. 

The discount rates shown on this page are approximate.  When calculating charges for billing, fractional cents are dropped.  Charges are based upon rates in effect at the time of connection at the calling point and will change if the call continues into a new rate period.  The sample rates shown on these pages exclude all taxes.

Night rates apply (within your Service Area only):
New Year's -January 1, Independence Day-July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day-December 25

Rates to other Service Areas
Long distance services to telephone numbers outside your Service Area are provided by other companies.

Rates are determined by the company or companies that provide your service.

Rates are those in effect on Jan. 1, 1997. They may change if authorized by the Public Service Commission of Nevada.

Higher rates-Calling Card calls
Calling Card calls cost more than dial-direct, but less than Operator-assisted calls.

Highest rates Operator-assisted
Operator-assisted calls include person and station calls, for example: bill to a third number, collect, requests for time and charges, and certain calls placed from hotels.

A one minute initial period applies to Operator-assisted calls.

The rates for Calling Card, Coin Paid and Operator-assisted calls are the dial-direct rates shown below plus a service charge.

Service charges per call, which are never discounted, apply as follows:
$ .25     for Calling Card-customer dialed.
1.00   Calling Card-Operator dialed.
1.00   for station calls. Except coin paid calls.
3.00   for all person-to-person calls. Includes coin paid calls.
