This is fasten-your-seatbelts and
   prepare-for-blast-off internet!

Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) provides instant Internet access at speeds up to 50 times faster than a 28.8 Kbps modem on a standard analog phone line.   Gone are the days of multiple phone lines, busy signals on your home phone and slow analog access to the internet.  What used to take minutes or hours to download will take just seconds or minutes.  With DSL Internet service you can download graphic-heavy files, large documents, software, photos, email attachments, and more, incredibly fast.  And because DSL sends data and voice over the same line, you can talk on the phone while you connect.

Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) technology brings high-bandwidth connectivity to you over ordinary copper telephone lines.  It's called "asymmetric" because the speed of the receiving data (the downstream rate to your computer) is different than the speed of sending data (the upstream rate from your computer to the Internet).   And, while it uses a different technology than traditional analog modems, the ADSL modem plugs into your phone jack much like an analog modem.  When your computer is plugged into the ADSL circuit, your home becomes hard wired to the internet 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

WHY BUY DSL INTERNET?

DSL technology allows you to surf the Internet, connect to your corporate network, and download files to your computer with amazing speed. Not only will the sheer speed enable you to get more done, it will also allow you to do more things at once.

Unlike with your modem, you won't have to choose between using your PC or your telephone.  Since DSL is always available, there's no more busy signals and no more waiting for the connection to happen - it's there at the click of your mouse.  If you do turn your PC off (or terminate your DSL connection), it's quick and easy to log back on - no more long waits as your analog modem establishes its connection.

You will be able to utilize both your PC and your telephone at the same time as you surf the internet and talk.

SPEED

How fast is it?
Forget the way you've been using the internet; with DSL from lcturbonet.com you'll experience the ride of your life.  Connection speeds for DSL typically range from 384Kbps to 1.544Mbps downstream and from 384Kbps to 768Kbps upstream.  In addition, a DSL line allows for one line to carry both voice and data signals, and for the data part of the line to be continuously connected, so you can talk on your phone line at the same time you're surfing the Internet.

Your computer would have to be on for the above to happen.
  • Installing anti-virus software will help to protect your computer from email viruses.  If you should receive an email that contains a virus, delete it without opening it.

The service activation for your DSL service will be free if you self-install your service. If a technician performs the installation, the service activation and installation charge is $99.
