Paying Your Bill

By Mail
For most customers,  the best way to pay your bill is by mail.  Include the payment part of the bill with your payment or write your telephone number, including the Area Code, on your check.  Be sure to allow enough time for the mail to reach our office.  Please use the return envelope enclosed with your bill.

In Person
Please bring your ENTIRE bill to our Pioche Business Office
Hours 8-12  1-5  Monday through Friday.
You may also pay your bill at Nevada Bank and Trust in Alamo or Caliente.

Complaints
Complaints regarding the telephone service must be made at once. Call the Business Office.

Service difficulties
Every effort is devoted toward providing you with the best telephone service. We shall appreciate your cooperation in reporting promptly any service troubles or defective equipment. Repairs and replacements due to ordinary usage or unavoidable accidents are made without charge.

QUESTIONS ABOUT YOUR BILL

How am I billed?
Charges for your local service and equipment are billed one month in advance. Message units and long distance are billed from the last bill date through the day prior to the current bill date; charges for installing or changing equipment are billed the same way.

Late payment charge
If your bill becomes delinquent, a late payment penalty of 1.5% is applicable to the total unpaid live balance carried forward from one month's bill to the next and is included in the OCC section on the current bill.  Neither the billing nor payment of late charges relieves you of the obligation to pay all charges by the due date on the bill.

How can I get service restored if it has been temporarily disconnected for nonpayment?
All past due charges billed for service must be paid before your service can be reconnected. There will be a restoral charge to reconnect your service and a deposit may also be required.

How can I get service if it has been permanently disconnected?
An application for new service must be made. The charges will be more than the restoral charge and would vary according to the type and amount of work involved. Credit would have to be reestablished and as a result, we may require an advanced payment and a deposit would be required before reconnecting your service.

What should I do about questions or mistakes on my bill?
Call your Service Representative who can answer questions, investigate possible errors and provide information about bills.

Is there a charge for returned checks?
If your check to us is returned by the bank, a returned check charge will be applied to your account and appear on your next regular bill.
